Bushnell 10x42 Legend Ultra HD (Realtree Camo)

No reviews
Verdict: I would like to share a little bit about my background before the review. I started in astronomy as a young kid with a small refractor on a wobbly mount. I left the hobby for many years and returned to it in 1999. By 2002 I became serious about astronomy and have been helplessly addicted ever since.

Bushnell Legend 10x42

3.8
Verdict: A new series of the binoculars from the American Bushnell company consists of porro and roof prism systems instruments. Porro prism models are available in the following versions: 8x26, 10x26, 8x42, 10x50 and 12x50 and roof prism models include: 9x25, 12x25, 8x32, 8x42, 10x42, 10x50 and 12x50.
Pros: very solid housing, negligible distortion, slight coma and astigmatism, excellent whiteness rendition, negligible flares, good blackening and workmanship inside, sharp image already from 1.7 meters
Cons: minimally truncated left pupil, the transmission level could have been higher

Not bad!

4.0
Verdict: I'll start out with saying these are great for quick panning and for distances from 30 yards or more. They are not 100% in focus but still offer a nice view. When panning around you will find anything within 30 yards will be blury but these are nice for anything over 30yards. I like them.

Good seller, Binoculars only OK

5.0
Verdict: I found the way the binos fitted to the eyes a bit flat and hard allowing light/glare to interfere with the vision, there is some adjustment on the eye piece but that did not help

Do NOT buy! Good optics, poor design for straps and eyepiece

2.0
Verdict: I bought these at Henry's and found them comfortable to use initially. The optics were great for birding. After one year, the poorly designed plastic clips which attach the straps to the body of the binoculars broke off.

Bushnell Natureview 10x42 Binoculars 221042...

1.0
Verdict: Need I say more?
Pros: I have nothing positive to say
Cons: Way too heavy to bird watch with. They didn't come with lenses caps! The eye pieces screw off by themselves. I can't place them on a tripod as no adaptor size fits. I put on a neck strap and the flange broke.

decent

3.0
Verdict: It is okay for normal use. You do need to wear eyeglasses if you are near-sighted. The weight is on the heavy side, so not very handy if you have an active trip somewhere.

Not bad for entry-level binoculars.

3.0
Verdict: Being more of a photo enthusiast than a real birder, I've relied largely on telephoto optics to spot
Pros: Multi-coated optics, light weight, good magnification for handheld binoculars, smooth adjustment
Cons: No tripod mount despite package claims

Good buy if on sale

4.0
Verdict: I picked up 2 pairs on sale for my two sons. They have taken a fair bit of abuse as 14-16 yr olds can hand out. Still clear and work good. You get what you pay for and I didn't expect Leopold quality from Bushnells. They work good enough though.

Bushnell Trophy XLT

4.0
Verdict: Overall a good bino, and meets my expectations quite well. However, it was slightly heavier than expected. Optics in low light conditions and looking towards sun at sunset are quite good.
Pros: Great optics, nice feel, good price
Cons: A bit heavier than expected, and end caps don't quite fit and quite often pop off

Glad I changed and bought Bushnell....

4.0
Verdict: I bought these as a replacement for a pair of 21yr old porro-prism bins. They have improved my birdwatching and shipwatching experiences already, even though the Natureview is not vastly expensive. I wasn't expecting much for [$].
Pros: Smooth focus
Cons: NA
